Summary
This individual performs a wide variety of tasks associated with the production of Bosch products. The Manufacturing Technician may work with large amounts of raw substances and may require the individual to assist with quality control and in-process testing of production. The Manufacturing Technician should have a good understanding of mechanics, federal regulations, weights and measures, mathematics, and general manufacturing concepts. This individual will work as part of a team with researchers, production engineers, and various other technical and production related professionals.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for working with both the products in the lab and preparing and packaging the final product.
2. Involved in calibration and maintenance of the equipment within a production facility environment.
3. Work with manufacturing team to test product, calibrate product, package, and ship product.
4. At times, will need to assist with quality control and in-process testing.
5. When needed, help to develop new ways to handle raw material and maintain electronic measuring devices.
6. Performs other incidental duties as required and assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under timelines and pressure.
2. Ability to read blueprints, decipher manuals, and understand technical jargon. Problem solving skills and strategies are important.
3. Ability to think independently and work without direct supervision.
Education
Minimum required is a 2 year Associates Degree in a biotechnical field, science/engineering, or other related field.
